La Universidad española ha experimentado un gran desarrollo en los últimos años. El principio de libertad académica consagra la autonomía de gobierno de las universidades, que se caracteriza por un marcado carácter democrático, interviniendo todos los sectores implicados en la toma de decisiones. En una primera parte del trabajo se ha descrito la evolución de los colectivos que forman parte de la Universidad en un período comprendido entre los cursos 1987/88 y 1996/97. Y, en segundo término, se ha estudiado a través de una muestra representativa la composición orgánica y la participación de los géneros en los órganos de gobierno universitarios, revelándonos “como más significativo” el hecho de ser el profesorado quien presente una mayor equidad entre hombres y mujeres, por delante incluso del alumnado |
