El uso de música para enseñar segunda lengua ha sido sancionado como un método efectivo en la literatura sobre el tema. Este artículo reporta una experiencia en la cual se utiliza baile, además de canciones, para enseñar lengua y cultura hispánicas, a estudiantes de nivel intermedio, en una clase intensiva. Una Guía de Análisis de la Canción dirige la comprensión hacia los aspectos de estudio más pertinentes. La aplicación de la Gramática Semántica-Comunicativa permite explorar el significado y los aspectos pragmáticos del texto como vehículos para entender la gramática y crear lengua. La creación de textos lingüísticos -composiciones y diálogos- se facilita porque la canción provee vocabulario, estructura sintáctica y tema. Cantar y bailar las canciones, actividades placenteras para el estudiante, transfieren placer al aprendizaje de la lengua, refuerzan habilidades de escucah y habla, y proveen elementos rítmicos y kinestésicos a la producción de lengua. |
