This study examines teachers and nurses conceptions on activities of healthy eating promotion among school children. The study is based on a qualitative research which uses ten in-depth interviews. The documentary analysis of the data is divided into three categories: type of activities, contents/ subject analysed and family involvement. Among the conclusions it is possible to ascertain that schools make efforts to promote healthy eating habits mainly in the early years of schooling; however, these initiatives are not fully integrated into formal education. The responsibility is translated from the health service to the schools and from the schools to the families. The school health care is now reduced to basic body checks and vaccinations. Both groups perceived the tasks related to the promotion of health as a burden regarding them as voluntary tasks.
