the Isoperimetric Inequality, the Four-Vertex Theorem and the ... In this work we can clearly distinguish two parts. Firstly, we study and prove some classical theorems about the Global Theory of plane curves, namely the Isoperimetric Inequality, the Four-Vertex Theorem and the CauchyCrofton Formula. Secondly, we focus on Bézier plane curves. We establish some global properties for them and we introduce a new method, inspired by the Isoperimetric Inequality, to produce the approximation of a circular arc by a Bézier curve. We include several interesting examples. |
