The paper focuses on the study of information published on internet opinion sites to apply Revenue Management at the hotel. For this purpose, the indicator variables of customer satisfaction are determined from the customer reviews published in two specialized web: Booking and Tripadvisor. From Revenue Management point of view, a positive experience discussed in a distribution and communication channel such as the Internet can increase the number of travelers who prefer a particular hotel. Furthermore, these positive reviews generate a quality image in the mind of the potential customer making it less sensitive to price and allow obtaining more benefit in the application of Revenue Management. The empirical study is based in seven hotels of Seville. Finally, we propose a ranking of hotels based on the customer reviews. |
