El desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa en una lengua añadida no es exclusivamente un aprendizaje lingüístico sino que se trata, también, de un aprendizaje social. El alumno que aprende una segunda lengua necesita poner en juego una serie de estrategias de tipo social que le resultan imprescindibles a la hora de enfrentarse al proceso de interacción continua que tiene lugar en el aula. En el trabajo se describen dos tipos de experiencia en este sentido; una llevada a cabo en una situación auténtica de comunicación en un medio natural inglés y la otra en un medio escolar ordinario. En ambos casos se pone de relieve la importancia del desarrollo del 'lenguaje formular' a modo de una interlengua 'españenglish' y se verifica que no es posible hablar de una 'competencia lingüística' en los alumnos sin englobar la competencia sociai-comunicativa que nos informa de la manera en que un mensaje, un segmento de discurso, contiene actos ilocucionarios apropiados gramaticalmente a un contexto determinado. |
