Hollywood y Viena: funciones y connotaciones del atonalismo en el cine y la ópera

Abstract

En la presente investigación tratamos los usos de la música atonal en la ópera de la Escuela de Viena y el cine de la segunda mitad del siglo XX, realizando un estudio comparativo sobre las diferentes asociaciones significativas halladas en la música de ambos medios que, construidas en base a las necesidades de estos dos modelos dramáticos, guardan ciertas similitudes y diferencias.

In our investigation we make an approach to the uses of atonal music in the opera of the Vienese School and the cinema that became known in the second half of the 20th century. Likewise, we make a comparative study on the meanings in both media, that are constituted by the needs within this two kinds of drama that have certain similarities and differences.
