The object of this activity of education innovation was to analyze the relationship between academic efficiency (qualifications in the final examinations) and two psychological variables: type A behaviors (urgency, involvement in the study and competitiveness) and coping style (direct, escape-avoidance and passiveness). Employed a sample of 359 students, the 41,5% studied the subject Behavior Modification (trunk line, obligatory, fourth course) and the 58,5% studied the subject Medical Psychological Intervention (optative, fifth course). The results were that the students more competitive had the best qualifications and the students more involvement in the study had less escape-avoidance behaviors. Finally, we proponed several lines of psychological intervention for increase the academic efficiency in the student.
