In this meta-analytic review, the researchers summarized previous studies by calculating the mean effect size of the relationship Organizational commitment – Job satisfaction. A total of 68 meta-analyses were carried out from 58 primary previous studies. Empirical research had examined this relationship, directly or indirectly, in several contexts of human resources management and normally tied with job performance, job satisfaction, commitment and other determinants that could contribute to the success of an organization. The meta-analyses found a significant a high moderate correlation around 0.53 for the general case of the relationship. The relationship was also analysed in detail for the aggregates «organization type», «activity sector» «worker type», «worker job» and «region». The researchers suggested possible practical implications for the founded results.
