The Problem-Based Learning is an active learning method in which pupils achieve their knowledge basing on a previously prepared problem which is presented to be solved with the aims for them to achieve certain learning to solve the problem the pupils have to work on certain professional competence and, at the same time, have to acquire specific knowledge on the subject. This methodological tool presents main advantages over traditional methods because the student take an active and dynamic approach to the knowledge acquisition, taking responsibility and autonomy in learning, seeking information and systematizing it, moreover, pupils take a reflective and critical view of the information obtained, they have to parse and process, not just memorize it. While group work allows promote the exchange of ideas, collaborative learning, acquiring skills in solving problems and make a decision.
