La comedia de situación y su análisis textual: evolución de los elementos constructivos del formato

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo el estudio de la situation comedy, o comedia de situación, desde finales de 1940 hasta el 2018, describiendo las distintas modalidades que han ido surgiendo en torno a ella, los modos constructivos, narrativos y de generación de humor, hasta llegar al proceso de hibridación que ha sufrido por la simbiosis y variación de todos estos elementos. El objetivo principal de esta investigación gira en torno a la realización de un estudio pormenorizado de la sitcom, con especial dedicación al análisis textual de la misma. Por ello, a partir de este objetivo principal, establecemos dos líneas distintas a seguir, unos objetivos generales y otros específicos, con la finalidad de conseguir el mayor rendimiento de los aspectos teóricos obtenidos mediante la revisión bibliográfica y filmográfica que se ha llevado a cabo. Para la consecución de estos objetivos se establece una base teórica sobre la que fundamentarse, en este caso se trata del método cualitativo, en razón del cual se hace uso de un análisis de contenido y de un análisis textual. Mediante el uso de una ficha de análisis, desarrollada de manera específica para este estudio, obtenemos una serie de resultados que deben dar respuesta a las hipótesis planteadas en un principio. Por último, desarrollamos unas conclusiones, las cuales establecen como la sitcom se trata de un formato con una capacidad de adaptación difícil de igualar, manteniendo sus características base, pero adaptándose a nuevos modos narrativos, estructurales, rítmicos, interpretativos y técnicos.

This research aims to study the situation comedy, or sitcom, from the end of 1940 until 2018, describing the different modalities that have arisen around it, the constructive, narrative and mood generation modes, until reach the hybridization process that has suffered from the symbiosis and variation of all these elements. The main objective of this research revolves around the realization of a detailed study of the sitcom, with special dedication to the textual analysis of it. Therefore, based on this main objective, we establish two different lines to follow, some general and other specific objectives, in order to achieve the best performance of the theoretical aspects obtained through the bibliographic and filmographic review that has been carried out. To achieve these objectives, a theoretical basis is established on which to base, in this case it is the qualitative method, because of which use is made of a content analysis and a textual analysis. Through the use of an analysis sheet, developed specifically for this study, we obtain a series of results that must respond to the hypotheses initially proposed. Finally, we develop some conclusions, which establish how the sitcom is a format with an adaptive capacity that is difficult to match, maintaining its basic characteristics, but adapting to new narrative, structural, rhythmic, interpretive and technical modes.
