Vicisitudes del ajuar de plata de la capilla de la Antigua de la Catedral de Sevilla

Abstract

En este artículo analizamos los cambios sufridos en el ajuar de plata de la capilla de Nuestra Señora de la Antigua, de la catedral de Sevilla. Los inventarios de Archivo Arzobispal demuestran la gran cantidad de piezas que poseía la capilla, y como han cambiado a lo largo de los siglos. No obstante la capilla es hoy día una de las más ricas de la catedral.

This paper studies the changes and transformations that the collection of silver items housed at Our Lady of Antigua’s chapel (Seville cathedral) underwent through the centuries. A series of inventories preserved at the Archbishop’s Palace’s archives point to a very large original collection of silver items which changed with the passing of the time. Nevertheless this chapel is today one of the richest one in the cathedral.
