The principal aim of this research was to study if different status of models presented in a Social Skills Training with drugs addicts, have influence on acquisition of assertive behaviors to prevent relapses. According to Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory, is hypothesized that people trained by a model with characteristics similar to them (trained ex-drug addict ad hoc), will acquire betters the behaviors developed in the program, which those others that were exposed to an expert model. Therefore, people of “group with similar model” will develop a higher sense of perceived self-efficacy than “group with expert model”. To Social Skills Training was applied to the first group to cope with situations of high risk of relapse. The hypothesis was partially confirmed. |
