Breve aproximación histórica a la fundación de la gran logia de Chile

Abstract

Los estudios sobre la masonería en Chile son bastante escasos, debido en buena parte a la naturaleza de reservada de la institución y su manifiesta reticencia a abrir sus archivos a los profanos. Por ello estas páginas resultan interesantes ya que dan a conocer las alternativas de la fundación de la Gran Logia; un proceso que puede motivar y orientar nuevos estudios sobre el desarrollo de aquella institución, tanto en Chile como en América.

The studies on the Freemasonry in Chile are scanty enough, due in large part to the reserved nature of the institution and its obvious reticence to opening his files the laymen. For it these pages turn out to be interesting since they announce the alternatives of the foundation of the Great Lodge; a process can motivate and orientate new studies on the development of that institution, both in Chile and in America.
