This TFG presents the translation of the official website of the Glastonbury Festival, highlighting the importance of multilingualism in achieving greater cultural diversity. We analyse why language and multilingualism are so relevant in today's globalised society in the fields of work, economics, society, culture and tourism, in order to focus on the importance of translations in the tourism sector. We also study what festival tourism is, starting with music tourism. We examine what a festival is, make a classification and explore the origins of festivals in the 20th century and how they have evolved into a tourism product. In addition, some of the most important international festivals and their economic importance are mentioned. Finally, a review is made of the Glastonbury Festival, its history, relevance and impact on music tourism, and a translation of its website is presented, which constitutes the major contribution to this academic work. |
