The essay presented here does not define (or limit) an artistic project, but is part of it. The essay presented here does not define (or limit) an artistic project, but is part of it. In it, as in the works on which it is based, the aim is to reflect and involve the viewer on identity, systemic and even political issues. The visual works and texts that make up this Final Degree Project are related and are established by chaining questions as a method that articulates a way of outlining the journey. The reader is invited to be part of this journey which, like life itself, will not be straight or safe, but will be full of discoveries and personal reflections; aware that the important thing is not the destination, but the experience of the itinerary itself. A journey that begins as a process of introspection with which to question oneself and recognize the pressures that mask our identity as a mask, pressures that are socially articulated and that are difficult to avoid. For this reason it concludes with the same questions with which the journey begins. |
