de hoy, aunque variando su función e interpretación a lo largo de los ... La figura humana se viene representando desde nuestros años más primitivos, y su importancia en las artes plásticas nos ha acompañado hasta el día de hoy, aunque variando su función e interpretación a lo largo de los siglos y al mismo tiempo dependiendo de la ubicación geográfica. Desde las pinturas y las pequeñas figuras de carácter simbólico y mágico del Paleolítico, pasando por las esculturas hieráticas y rígidas del Antiguo Egipto, las figuras idealizadas de los griegos, los cristos agonizantes del Barroco que tensan sus músculos en la cruz… Los artistas que nos han precedido abordaron la representación del ser humano valiéndose de los recursos y conocimientos de los que disponían en cada etapa, siendo el punto álgido el período renacentista, en el que fue posible la disección de cadáveres con fines científicos. Numerosos artistas de la época se interesaron en la materia buscando una representación artística fidedigna de nuestra morfología en sus obras, siendo esto el germen de la proliferación de libros o tratados de anatomía ilustrados con el fin de educar a artistas de generaciones venideras. Sin embargo, quien muestre verdadero interés por adquirir conocimientos anatómicos para aplicarlos al campo artístico y haya indagado en suficientes libros se dará cuenta de que, desde los primeros que vieron la luz hasta los más recientes, apenas se recoge información novedosa y que pueda ayudar a dotar nuestra obra de mayor realismo o naturalidad, y que todos siguen un modelo obsoleto, donde la ejemplificación gráfica corresponde la inmensa mayoría de las veces al cuerpo del varón, reservándose la anatomía de la mujer para señalar diferencias puntuales de estructura ósea, formas adiposas o genitales entre un sexo y el otro. Sus autores se preocupan por dotar al hombre de perfección anatómica ayudándose de la musculatura, la cual procuran que sea visible en mayor o menor medida, mientras que la mujer queda relegada a un segundo plano, evitando mostrar señales de dónde se localizan sus músculos o huesos a base de redondear y suavizar su figura, a veces hasta un punto exagerado y totalmente alejado de la realidad del cuerpo femenino. |
