In the same way, culture is gaining importance. We can consider culture as a set of legitimized and articulated practices in response to collective and individual needs in the management of the environment and social relations, in the symbolic, communicative and value spheres, and which allows social interaction (Zallo, R., 2011). The press has had to meet these needs. Traditionally, the written press reigned, but the rise of new technologies has meant that, in addition to the birth of digital media, the written press itself now has a digital profile. To this end, the information channels have been extended to social networks, web portals, blogs, etc. Football teams have done the same. Years ago, when clubs wanted to inform about something, they would issue a press release quoting the press in, for example, the stadium. Now things have changed. The creation of their websites or profiles on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter has served to get closer to the fans. In this study, we will focus on the analysis of these last two social networks in relation to the sevillian teams of the soccer elite: Real Betis Balompié and Sevilla Fútbol Club. This will have several objectives, but to highlight will be the presence that both clubs have on Instagram and Twitter, and the loyalty of their followers. Different forms of communication depending on the platform, but with the same objective: to provide immediate information to the Betis and Sevilla fans. |
