Una experiencia de revisión de productos escritos entre estudiantes de Formación Profesional

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta una experiencia de investigación-acción en torno a la redacción y revisión de un informe de laboratorio escrito en un formato técnico específico llamado «Procedimiento Normalizado de Laboratorio» por estudiantes del ciclo formativo de formación profesional (FP) de grado medio «Laboratorio», perteneciente a la familia profesional química, siendo el profesor participante el autor de este artículo. Tras escribir el informe, los estudiantes realizaron un proceso de revisión entre pares, leyendo los de sus compañeros y dándoles a continuación retroalimentación para mejorarlos. Como se explica más adelante, los propósitos de la intervención eran tanto aumentar la competencia técnica del alumnado como permitirles progresar en términos de su alfabetización científica y de avanzar en su desarrollo como ciudadanos activos y responsables. En cuanto al análisis que se muestra en este trabajo, se orientó a estudiar la evolución de las características de dichos informes, en particular si aumentan su coherencia y la calidad de la información plasmada en ellos. Como resultados, se hallan mejoras en algunas dimensiones de los informes de los estudiantes después de haber participado en el proceso de revisión entre pares, así como una percepción positiva entre los estudiantes del proceso. Finalmente, los resultados son discutidos proponiéndose algunas implicaciones educativas

Here is presented an action-research experience about the writing and review processes of a laboratory report written in a specific technical format called “Standard Operating Procedure” by a group students of the vocational training degree “Laboratory”, which belongs to the professional family of Chemistry. The participant teacher was the author of this paper. Following to write the report, the students followed a peer review process, reading reports written by their partners and giving them some feedback in order to improve the written products. As it is explained later, the aims of the intervention were to help the students to increase their technical competence and also to try to allow them to progress in terms of their scientific literacy and in the progress in their development as active and responsible citizens. About the research analysis shown here, it was focused in studying the evolution of the features of those reports, in particular asking if their coherence and the quality of the information presented in them increase. As results, we founded improvements in some dimensions of the students reports after participating in the peer review process, and also a positive perception of the process among the students. Finally, the results are discussed and used to pose some educative implications
