Abstract | En las últimas décadas Internet ha transformado de manera radical todas las formas de
comunicación. En este mundo de la globalización nos encontramos con un medio que
carece de fronteras, que está abierto de forma ... En las últimas décadas Internet ha transformado de manera radical todas las formas de comunicación. En este mundo de la globalización nos encontramos con un medio que carece de fronteras, que está abierto de forma permanente, que no se acoge a horarios ni a estaciones y que ha transformado los esquemas tradicionales de la comunicación. Desde el punto de vista teórico asociado al consumo, el objetivo de este trabajo es reflexionar sobre cuáles son las principales situaciones que afectan de forma discriminatoria a las mujeres en este entorno virtual. El estudio demuestra que el funcionamiento de conexiones virtuales ha ampliado el círculo de consumidores y de víctimas reales en delitos de los cuales las mujeres (en un espectro amplio que va desde edades muy tempranas) se han convertido en víctimas frecuentes. Estos ciberdelitos de género, por medio de las Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación, centran hoy día una parte importante del trabajo policial y, aunque en menor medida, judicial. |
