La educación teatral y el dilema ético de la creación

Abstract

En plena crisis económica y social, la educación debe encontrar su lugar en el terreno de la participación social y de lo político. En este artículo, a partir de las metáforas del laberinto y de la escena griega, queremos abrir una reflexión sobre el papel del arte teatral como espacio de encuentro, debate y acción sobre problemáticas éticas que permiten conectar la actividad pedagógica, la práctica artística y el compromiso personal, mediante una forma de trabajo que rompe los límites estrictos entre público y creador, individuo y comunidad, educación y arte. Desde ese posicionamiento estético e ideológico planteamos una metodología de la creación, a la que denominamos “espiritismo dialógico”, que supere el narcisismo individualista habitual en las disciplinas artísticas y reivindique la autoría social y la práctica de lo común. Ya que paradójicamente, como ocurre en Edipo, solo la sociedad puede desvelar la verdadera personalidad artística.

In the midst of this social and economic crisis, education must find its place in the realm of social and political participation. In this paper the metaphors of labyrinth and the Greek stage are used to open up a reflection on the role of the theatre art as a space where different ethical problems connecting pedagogical activity, artistic practice and personal commitment may be debated and acted upon them. This is done by a way of working which breaks up the strict limits separating the audience and the creator, the individual and the community, education and art. From this aesthetic and ideological stance, we bring forward a methodology of creation we have termed “Dialogic Spiritism” which should overcome the habitual individualistic narcissism characterizing artistic disciplines, vindicating social authorship and communal practices instead. Paradoxically enough, just as it happens in Oedipus, true artistic personality can only be revealed by society itself.
