Ergonomics has some popularity in Spain as a quality of certain artifacts and as a preventive specialty derived from the Spanish Law 31/95 of Occupational Hazards. However, the exercise by ergonomics professionals often suffer frequently from a clear theoretical basis in which to place the knowledge of the interaction of man and technology and where to deploy a relevant methodology. This article aims to explore the advantages of the introduction of the narrative, understood as an analogy to interpret as semiotic spaces methodological tool in ergonomic studies. A methodology for the application of ergonomics in the design and prevention call is offered in this article “Narractivity” and several studies are described. The introduction of concepts and methodologies from the narratology to enrich the understanding of the interaction between people and the system which includes facilitating the work of professionals dedicated to this area and opening up an important field of study.
