Pinceladas sobre concepciones y conocimiento especializado de un profesor de Educación Primaria en la enseñanza de la Geometría

Abstract

Las creencias y el conocimiento de los docentes guardan,sin duda,una estrecha re-lación con la forma de educar y la manera en que los alumnos entienden el mundo que les rodea. La idea de que la mentalidad del profesor ha influido directamente en la edu-cación de los alumnos ha estado por bastante tiempo extendida en el ámbito investiga-tivo. En este estudio se trata de determinar esta relación, intentando detectar algunas pinceladas de comportamiento y actuación docenteobtenidas mediante elanálisis deuna entrevista a un profesorde Educación Primariaen la enseñanza de las matemáticas, estudiandosus conocimientos y concepciones acerca del ámbito de la geometría. Para ello nos basaremos en un modelo de análisis actual denominado Mathematics Teacher’s Specialised Knowledge (en adelante MTSK), quese utiliza con el objetivo de conocer y determinar el conocimiento especializado y las concepciones que posee un profesor de matemáticas, siguiendo los indicadores y dominios que tiene el modelo

The beliefs and the knowledge of teachers have a close relationship with the way of educate and the way in which students understand the world that the teacher shows them. The idea that the teachers’ mindset has affected to the education of students has been widespread in the field of research for quite a bit of time. This study tries to determine this relationship, trying to detect some brush-strokes of behaviour and teaching perfor-mance obtained by an analysis of a interview passed to a teacher of the Primary Schoolin the mathematical teaching, analysing their knowledge and conceptions about the field of Geometry. In order to do this, we will base this proyecto n a current model wich is called Teacher’s Specialised Knowledge(hereinafter MTSK), which is used with the objetive of knowing and determining the specializad knowledge and conceptions thatthe mathematics teacher has, following the indications and domains that this model has.
