Metal to composite adhesive joints, give rise very often to corners involving isotropic materials (metal adherends and the adhesive) and transversely isotropic materials, which depending on the relative orientation and the value of the elastic constants, can be considered as degenerated materials, which a mathematical point of view. The use of the transfer matrix facilitates the singular stress characterization in the neighbourhood of multimaterial corners. For anisotropic multimaterial corners, and in the frame of Stroh formalism, the transfer matrix have been derived for degenerated materials, generalizing the existing one for non degenerated anisotropic materials, developed by Ting. lsotropic materials can be considered in the frame of the formalism as mathematically degenerated anisotropic materials. The range of materials covered by this type of analysis is in this way completed
