Identidades entrecruzadas

Abstract

La sociedad contemporánea continúa reclamando la necesidad de identidades únicas, estables, fijas y coherentes como único camino de llegar a ser sujetos normales y, por tanto, legítimos. Identidades y sexualidades difusas, equívocas, cruzadas o entrecruzadas, son mayoritariamente valoradas como signo de alguna clase de perturbación o patología, psíquica, emocional o, incluso, física. En contra de este imperativo normalizador, pensadoras y pensadores, e individuos activistas, desarrollan sus tesis con la finalidad de abrir espacios que puedan dar cobijo a la multiplicidad existente de cuerpos, identidades y modos de vidas.

Contemporary societies insist on the need to assume fixed, stable, and coherent identities as the only way to become "normal", and therefore legitimate and recognizable subjects. Ambiguous, hybrid, or non-hegemonic identities are usually seen as the symptom of some kind of pathology or deviation. Against this normalizing and violent imperative, critical thinkers and activists develop their alternatives in order to open up spaces that can shelter the existing heterogeneous multiplicity of bodies, identities, and ways of life.
