In this article a study appears whose object has been to detect those variables that are perceived by the educational ones like possible obstacles that prevent or limit the participation of the students and students in the scholastic tasks, including that present/display special educative necessities. To walk towards an education of quality, where «all» students are developed to the maximum of their possibilities, inexorably takes to us to consider the participation like one of the basic pillars of the school of the future. The study methodology selected falls within the qualitative research approach, particularly in the ethnographic model, with the technique of investigation used the discussion group. The results show, among other findings, that the teaching methodology used by the teacher, coupled with a rigid organization of the classroom are the biggest barriers that hinder student participation in school activities.
