This project proposes the development of a calculation methodology to obtain the effective coefficients of a piezoelectric composite material by micromechanical modeling. Micromechanical modeling has been based on the use of the representative volume element method, and the numerical resolution has been carried out using the ANSYS finite element program. The developed calculation methodology has been validated through a solved case of periodic piezoelectric compound extracted from the literature, and subsequently it has been used to study the influence of different factors on the effective coefficients of a piezoelectric composite, such as the aspect ratio of piezoelectric inclusions, the type of polymeric matrix, tuning the matrix with carbon nanotubes, and the existence of carbon nanotubes agglomeration in the matrix. |
