Aproximación a la definición del ensayo como género filosófico: reflexión crítico-literaria sobre el mundo vital mediadora entre arte y ciencia y con voluntad de verdad

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es intentar obtener una definición del ensayo como género filosófico. En este trabajo defendemos una idea dialéctica del género literario/artístico en la que el texto participa del género pero no pertenece a él. El ensayo como género es abierto y libre. Aunque es una identidad sin límites y dado el poder configurador de la literatura, el ensayo tiene una esencia mínima que podemos definir como reflexión crítico-literaria con voluntad de verdad instalada en el mundo de la vida. El ensayo se define también por su carácter de mediación entre el arte y la ciencia, lo particular y lo universal.

The aim of this article is to try to obtain a definition of the essay as a philosophical genre. In this paper we defend a dialectical idea of literary/artistic genre in which the text participates in the genre but does not belong to it. The essay as genre is open and free. Although it is an identity without limits and given the configuring power of literature, the essay has a minimal essence that we can define as critical-literary reflection with a will of truth installed in the world of life. The essay is also defined by its character of mediation between art and science, the particular and the universal.
