Material didáctico sobre la mujer en la historia de la ciencia

Abstract

Este trabajo se ha realizado pensando en la necesidad de aportar referentes femeninos para el alumnado en la historia de la ciencia, para ello se pensó utilizar algo cotidiano como el callejero de Sevilla, para buscar a las científicas que se encontraran en él. Tras realizar dicha investigación, se comprobó que tan solo una científica tenía una calle a su nombre. En vista de tan notable ausencia , teniendo en cuenta las grandes mujeres científicas que existen, se ha realizado este trabajo con el propósito de que las alumnas tengan un ejemplo femenino en el que fijarse, sobre todo porque también se ha constatado la carencia existente de la mujer científica en los libros de texto. Se ha confeccionado un material didáctico para el alumnado de sexto de primaria, tratando de acercar estos referentes femeninos, no solo a través de sus méritos, sino también a través de sus problemas, equivocaciones y retos . De esta manera se presentan como modelos a seguir a las científicas de una forma más real y cercana, donde los discentes puedan verse reflejados y conseguir que las carreras que elijan en el futuro no dependan de su género, sino de su trabajo, dedicación y esfuerzo.

This work has been done thinking about de needs of providing to students feminine references in the history of science. For this, it was thought to use daily things like the streets of Seville to search the scientific women that are found in them. After conducting this investigation, it was found that only one street was name after a scientific woman. In view of such notable absence, knowing all the great scientific woman that exist, this work has been made so that the girls students can have a feminine role model to look up, mainly because it has also been notice the lack of scientific woman in textbooks. A didactic material has been made for sixth grade students, trying to bring these feminine referents closer, not only through their value, but also through their problems, mistakes and challenges. In this way they are introduced as models to follow the scientists in a more real and close way, where the students can be reflected and ensure that the careers they choose in the future do not depend on their gender, but their work, dedication and effort .
