Intervención socioeducativa en el desarrollo emocional de los menores y madres en prisión

Abstract

Una madre tiene derecho a criar a su hijo y un hijo tiene derecho a ser criado por su madre. Esto se lleva a cabo incluso dentro de los centros penitenciarios. Los niños de hasta 3 años pueden convivir con sus madres en módulos de madres de cárceles comunes o unidades dependientes. El efecto que esto tiene en su desarrollo está aún por investigar, pero las carencias tanto en estímulos como en experiencias que estos niños viven pueden ser paliadas con intervenciones dentro de los centros. Esta intervención busca el refuerzo de un vínculo materno-filial positivo centrándose en la educación emocional para potenciar el desarrollo global de los niños.El uso tanto de material nuevo, como nuevos usos para el material existente cambian los estímulos que los niños reciben a diario y la intervención promueve el desarrollo del auto concepto y autoestima mezclando rutina con libertad. Espejos, cuentos e interacción son la clave.

Mothers have the right to raise their children and children have the right to be raised by their mothers. This takes place even within the limits of prison centers. Children until the age of 3 can live with their mothers in nursery programs in ordinary prisons or in dependable units. The effect that this has on children’s development is yet to be researched, but different programs in prison can solve some of the lacks they suffer. This intervention seeks to strengthen the bond between a mother and her kid, focusing on emotional education to enhance global development on children. The use of new material and new uses for existent material give the chance to change the stimuli children receive every day and the intervention works on promoting their self-image and self-esteem mixing routine with freedom. Mirrors, story books and interaction are key.
