La figura del padre en la ficción garcilasista

Abstract

Este artículo considera el papel que representa el capitán Sebastián Garcilaso de la Vega en las ficciones que tienen como protagonista al Inca, y que se relaciona estrechamente con el tema de la identidad mestiza. En las narraciones cercanas al pensamiento de la Generación del Novecientos (Sánchez, Arciniega, Loayza), aunque se cuestione la figura del padre, no se rechaza del todo la herencia hispánica, mientras que en las escritas a partir de 1990 (Carrillo Espejo, Vega Jácome, González Viaña) se opta decididamente por el linaje materno y el padre es visto como un violento conquistador o reducido a una sombra, de modo que se apartan del paradigma garcilasista de la armonía mestiza y no consideran a Garcilaso el símbolo de la peruanidad.

This article believes the role that the captain SebastiánGarcilaso de la Vega represents in the fictions that have the Inca as a main character, and that is closely related with the mestizo identity topic. In the narrations that are close to the Nine Hundreds Generation thinking (Sánchez, Arciniega, Loayza), even if the father figure is questioned, the Hispanic heir is not completely rejected, while the ones written past 1990 (Carrillo Espejo, Vega Jácome, González Viaña) opts decidedly towards the maternal lineage, and the father is seen as a violent conqueror or lessened to a shadow, they move away from the Garcilasist paradigm of the mestizo harmony and from considering Garcilaso the symbol of Peruvianism
