La emigración andaluza a Argentina de mediados del siglo XX y el fenómeno del retorno

Abstract

El presente trabajo fin de carrera trata de la emigración andaluza que se asentó en Argentina, en particular durante las décadas de 1940, 1950 y 1960, analizando sus causas, el desarrollo del proceso de inserción en el país receptor y el fenómeno del retorno, prestando especial atención a las cuestiones de la identidad en la segunda y tercera generación de emigrados. En la investigación hemos recurrido a fuentes bibliográficas y, especialmente a la historia oral, es decir, a las historias de vida de emigrantes retornados y de sus descendientes; testimonios que constituyen un aporte de gran valor para conocer la situación social, económica y política de la España de la posguerra y del primer franquismo, que obligó a muchos a emigrar a tierras argentinas, así como para el análisis de las consecuencias del hecho migratorio a lo largo de la historia hasta la actualidad.

This final degree project is about the Andalusian emigration that settled in Argentina, especially during the forties, fifties and sixties. We analyse the causes, the insertion process in the host country and the return phenomenon, keeping the issue of identity in the second and third generation of emigrating people in mind. In the research, we have resorted to bibliographical sources and, primarily, to the oral history, that is, returned emigrants' and their descendants' life stories. These testimonies have great value to know the social, economic and political situation in the Spanish civil post-war period and the first-Francoism, which forced many Spanish people to emigrate to Argentinian lands. They are essential for analysing the consequences of migration throughout the history to the present.
