The first one approximation is by cubic rational Bézier curves, simple and composite, and we analyze the error committed. The second one is by quadratic polynomial and rational Bézier curves. We also calculate the error bound with the Hausdorff distance between the helix and each approximate curve. Finally, we show both methods in some examples. |
