Vestigios del analfabetismo ante la antecnología

Abstract

Generación tras generación hemos ido cambiando nuestro papel dentro de la sociedad en la que nos encontramos. Nuestros bisabuelos pudieron ser los pioneros de la era de la prensa, más tarde sus hijos fueron los clientes más fieles de la radio y nosotros los de la tan esperada televisión. Paulatinamente todo se está transformando pues los que éramos solamente hijos de la pantalla ahora lo somos de un sin fin de nuevas tecnologías. La familia y la escuela eran nuestros primeros agentes sociales, ahora también lo son las amistades, los grupos culturales, políticos y religiosos, los videoclip, los videojuegos, las redes informáticas, y demás. Los nuevos medios captan cada vez, a más consumidores, viéndonos así enfrentados a un mundo nuevo en el que las nuevas tecnologías son las nuevas fuentes de poder. Al igual que la televisión y otros medios que nunca se han quedado atrás en cuanto a su capacidad para transmitir valores y pautas culturales, las nuevos hallazgos tecnológicos como el ciberespacio, la realidad virtual, los videojuegos, la cibermascotas, los robots, la ofimática, etc..., aparte de la carga ideológica que suponen, están encontrando nuevas fórmulas para estimular nuestra capacidad creativa. Las nuevas tecnologías obtienen así, en los tiempos en los que nos encontramos, beneficios majestuosos (sociales, económicos, culturales) y si no los usamos seremos conservadores e ignorantes. Como dice Neil Postman(1981), tenemos lenguajes nuevos que aprender si no queremos poner en peligro nuestra supervivencia y para ello es necesario que huyamos del uso superficial de los mismos y construyamos, entre todos, el nuevo mundo de la información, para que nuestras vidas puedan así transcurrir por el camino de la libertad, es decir el deseable para todos.

Generation after generation, we have gone changing our paper inside the society in which we were. Out great-grandfathers could be the pioneers of the era of the press, later their children were the most faithful clients of the radio and we of the prospective television.Gradually everything one is transforming, because those that we were only children of the screen, we now are it of a without end of new technologies. The family and the school were our first social agents, at the moment also is it the cultural groups, political and religious, the videoclips, the videogames, the nets computer sciences and other. The new means capture every time to more consumers, seeing us I got hold of faced a new world in which the new technologies are the new sources of being able to. The same as the television and other means that they have never stayed behind as for their capacity in order to transmit values and cultural rules, the new technological discoveries like ciberspace, the virtual reality, etc..., apart from the ideological load that they suppose, is finding new formulas in order to stimulate our creative capacity. The new technological obtain so, in the times in which we were, majestic benefits (social,economic, cultural) and if we didn´t assimilate it are conservatives, ignoramuses or audiovisual illiterates. How Neil Postman says(1981), we have new languages that learn if we don´t want to put our survival in danger and it for this is necessary that we escape from the superficial use of the same and we build between all the new world of the information, so that our lives could lapse so for the on the way to the freedom, the desirable road for all.
