The persistence of gender stereotypes and the sexual division of labour is related to the lack of social awareness, due, among other factors, to the lack of gender training. This training is necessary to reflect and ‘deconstruct’ the gender messages to reveal the ideological assumptions and underlying hierarchies in messages. Therefore we question that the results to receive training by specific subjects or crosswise may be different. Our main objective is to compare the results of surveys aimed at students and see if there are differences between the two groups of students, both in relation to their training on the subject, and through their behaviour and attitude towards certain issues related to gender. Furthermore, we would like to see, if there is a difference, how much can be derived from the training. We have past surveys through OPINA application to a representative sample of students in both degrees and applied appropriate statistical techniques using SPSS software. The study results reinforce our initial idea of the need to include courses that provide gender training in programs and university degrees and raise not only disciplinary knowledge oriented to 'knowing' and professionals oriented to 'know-how', but also attitudes to a ethics compromise oriented to gender equity |
