Valores en la vida socio-política: entre el cinismo y la esperanza

Abstract

La crisis de valores que caracteriza el tiempo presente incide en la vida socio-política al socaire de un individualismo desenfrenado. El cambio ha invadido tanto las estructuras económicas, como las políticas y las culturales. Y alcanza por igual a neoliberales y a socialdemócratas. Urge que los ciudadanos contrapongan al cinismo de algunos políticos la esperanza de nuevos planteamientos. Los valores propios de la revolución francesa (libertad, igualdad, fraternidad) han de retomarse con ahínco incorporando los valores tradicionales del humanismo en todos los ámbitos de la vida social y política

The present crisis of the social valuesystem has a strong impact on social and political life due to an unbridled individualism. Such change affects the economical as well as the political and cultural structures. It also touches both the new liberals and the social democrats. For that reason, it seems necessary that the citizens respond to the cynicism of certain politicians with a new kind of vision. The social values of the French revolution (liberty, equality, solidarity) should be reconsidered in order to set the social and political life with traditional values of humanism.
