El profesor y los estudiantes universitarios ¿Un equipo?

Abstract

Profesores de Universidad y estudiantes deben ser miembros de un único equipo con un solo objetivo: dar a los estudiantes los instrumentos y habilidades necesarios de manera que puedan aprender autónomamente en el futuro. Es cierto que el conocimiento está al alcance de todos gracias a Internet pero no todos pueden encontrar, comprender y usar la información que necesitan. Debemos guiar a los estudiantes en su búsqueda de conocimiento. Debemos prepararlos para la vida real. No es suficiente que los estudiantes adquieran conocimientos. También deben aprender a resolver problemas. Esa es la razón por la que propongo un sistema mixto de enseñanza donde se conjuguen clases magistrales con trabajos escritos y exposiciones orales en clase.

Professors and university students must be members of a single team with only one aim: give the students the necessary instruments and skills so that they can learn on their own in the future. It is true that knowledge is available to everybody thanks to the Internet but not everybody can find, understand and use the information they need. We must guide the students in their search of knowledge. We must prepare them for real life. It is not enough for students to acquire knowledge. They must learn to solve problems. That is the reason why, I propose a mixed system where there are traditional lessons as well as written projects and presentations in class.
