La salud reproductiva incluye la salud sexual y el derecho de la mujer a tener acceso a los servicios de atención de la salud que propicien los embarazos y los partos sin riesgos, así como el derecho del hombre y de la mujer a obtener información y tener posibilidades de acceso a métodos de su elección seguros, efectivos, aceptables y económicamente asequibles en materia de planificación familiar y en el desarrollo de su vida afectivo-sexual y de las relaciones personales. Los derechos sexuales y reproductivos han sido incorporados paulatinamente como parte de los Derechos Humanos Universales en distintos Textos Internacionales, en el marco del reconocimiento de los derechos a la libertad, la igualdad, la integridad física y moral, la vida y a la salud. En tal sentido, estos derechos permiten adoptar decisiones en relación con la reproducción sin sufrir discriminación, coacción ni violencia. En este aspecto, el estudio trata de esbozar algunas directrices con el objeto de determinar hasta qué extremo puede plantearse la indisponibilidad de los derechos, en este caso, de las mujeres por el Estado. En tanto parte de la garantía del valor superior del pluralismo político, los medios de comunicación tienen un papel relevante sobre la proyección socio-política de las novedades normativas. |
