Abstract | Posiblemente una de las formas más intuitivas de iniciar el conocimiento de cualquier paisaje o ciudad consiste en rastrear algunas huellas de las sucesivas culturas o momentos históricos que han dado lugar a su actual ... Posiblemente una de las formas más intuitivas de iniciar el conocimiento de cualquier paisaje o ciudad consiste en rastrear algunas huellas de las sucesivas culturas o momentos históricos que han dado lugar a su actual configuración. Por ello se repasan breves ideas generales, teorías o modelos a lo largo de la historia urbana, entendida ésta como una especie de palimpsesto en el que cada época aporta piezas que conforman su conjunto, como si se tratase de estratos sedimentarios, sin olvidar que todo corte histórico es siempre artificioso. Así, se propone el inicio de una investigación sobre la razón de ser, orígenes y evolución de cada fragmento urbano en distintas épocas; debiendo advertirse que lejos de intentar hacer un trabajo historiográfico, más bien se trata rescatar ciertos argumentos o imágenes de otros tiempos que puedan servir para mejorar la comprensión de situaciones actuales. No parece necesario justificar la conveniencia de cultivar la memoria visual del arquitecto con ideas del pasado para enriquecer su imaginación y para que dichas ideas puedan aflorar en el dibujo de futuros paisajes urbanos. Además, se propone otra aproximación gráfica basada en una premisa de gran sencillez y evidencia: la realidad que nos rodea está cualificada por fenómenos dimensionales, por tamaños y escalas que dan lugar a diversos niveles de percepción humana y de relaciones del hombre con el medio. En el libro ''El territorio de la Arquitectura" Gregotti decía que la proyectación es antes que nada selección de la escala de intervención. Retomando esa vieja idea, el dibujo del territorio, la ciudad y la arquitectura actual puede entenderse como una sucesión reiterada de acercamientos a la realidad desde diversos niveles de percepción que pueden dibujarse con cierta autonomía, desde lo más general hasta lo más particular. |
