Abstract | Es incuestionable el hecho de que, en pleno siglo XXI, estar informado es vital para poder conocer el mundo en el que vivimos. Para ello, los medios de comunicación, principalmente los de masas, ejercen el papel más ... Es incuestionable el hecho de que, en pleno siglo XXI, estar informado es vital para poder conocer el mundo en el que vivimos. Para ello, los medios de comunicación, principalmente los de masas, ejercen el papel más importante: distribuir información a un gran número de personas. Esta información acaba creando una idea y una opinión del mundo y de los hechos que lo rodean en nuestro subconsciente. El actual trabajo trata de analizar los aspectos, formales y de contenido, con los que se elaboran dichas informaciones y aplicarlos a un caso concreto: la inmigración irregular que llega a España procedente de África. Este fenómeno se ha convertido en un hecho social a tener en cuenta en las agendas políticas, sobre todo en el siglo XXI y tras la llegada de la globalización. En el caso de África, miles de personas se juegan la vida para lograr alcanzar la costa española en busca de unas gratas condiciones de vida. Los medios de comunicación españoles tratan este hecho de forma habitual, pero hubo una mayor presencia del mismo en sus agendas tras la llegada multitudinaria que tuvo lugar en agosto de 2014. Por ello, estudiaremos la visión que han proyectado tres periódicos españoles – El Mundo, El País y ABC – sobre el acontecimiento, desde el 12 de agosto de 2014 hasta el 12 de diciembre del mismo año, y sobre el colectivo vulnerable de los inmigrantes. |
