The Final Degree Project has been made with the objectives of analyse the degree of transformation of the businesses in the historic center of Seville and studying the relationship between these commercial transformations ... The Final Degree Project has been made with the objectives of analyse the degree of transformation of the businesses in the historic center of Seville and studying the relationship between these commercial transformations and the increase of urban tourism. The study was carried out through an analysis of the Trajano-Amor de Dios commercial axis and interviews with business owners in both streets. The results indicate that the studied axis is living a process of commercial touristiztion connected with the increase in the growing arrival of tourists to the city. This process has had important consequences for the commercial locals of the area, such as the baretization of the area, with specialty coffee shops, avant-garde restaurants and take-away bars proliferating in both streets; and, in addition, the continuous loss of commercial diversity, giving rise to a more homogenous landscape that is increasingly similar to other streets and cities around the world. |
