Imaginería del tercer milenio: contemporaneidad en la fe

Abstract

En este TFG, se investiga y estudia las posibilidades plásticas que actualmente se pueden incorporar al campo de la imaginería religiosa. En él se hace un repaso histórico de esta especialidad artística de la escultura hasta nuestros días, haciendo hincapié en las técnicas y materiales que se han mantenido a lo largo de los años. Esto ha sido el punto de partida para abordar las nuevas posibilidades artísticas que ofrece el tercer milenio para el campo de la imaginería, recopilando información y contrastándola con la bibliografía encontrada. Lo que nos lleva a asumir que existen una serie de herramientas y materiales contemporáneos que están siendo implementados poco a poco en dicho campo, siendo el tiempo el que determinará si estas modernas opciones marcaran una nueva era en la imaginería sacra.

This dissertation investigates and studies the plastic possibilities that can currently be incorporated into the field of religious imagery. It reviews the history of this artistic speciality of sculpture up to the present day, emphasising the techniques and materials that have been maintained over the years. This has been the starting point for tackling the new artistic possibilities offered by the third millennium for the field of imagery, compiling information and contrasting it with the bibliography found. This leads us to assume that there are a series of contemporary tools and materials that are gradually being implemented in this field, and it is time that will determine whether these modern options will mark a new era in sacred imagery
