Hacia una geografía patrimonial: Nuevos mecanismos para entender y gestionar el patrimonio

Abstract

Reconocemos el patrimonio como un sistema complejo conformado por una simultaneidad de eventos, procesos, agentes, espacios o formas que nos dirige a pensar en metodologías que puedan traducir y dilucidar las posibles relaciones a través de una “red de cartografía”. Teniendo como referencia la obra de Henri Lefebvre, Schlögel, Edward Soja, David Harvey, Fernand Braudel , Manuel Castells, entre otros, realizamos una reflexión sobre su posible relación dialéctica con las nuevas tecnologías de la información, capaz de permitir y facilitar una mayor comprensión de la dimensión espacio-temporal del patrimonio cultural. El presente artículo plantea delinear algunas reflexiones desde una mirada geo-temporal en torno a los conceptos y herramientas tecnológicas disponibles, con el fin de identificar sus potencialidades para su aplicación en el ámbito del patrimonio cultural. La evolución de los conceptos del patrimonio junto a la utilización de nuevas formas de representación y análisis en medios digitales nos permiten nuevas miradas sobre los elementos o fenómenos hasta ahora invisibles que son influyentes en la estructuración y conformación del territorio. En lo fundamental, gira en torno a una directriz, solo podemos construir la imagen adecuada del territorio si volvemos a pensar juntamente espacio-tiempo y acción.

We recognize heritage as a complex system made up of a simultaneity of events, processes, agents, spaces or forms, which leads us to think of methodologies that can translate and elucidate possible relationships through a "map network". Using as reference the work of Henri Lefebvre, Schlögel, Edward Soja, David Harvey, Fernand Braudel, Manuel Castells, and others, we make a reflection about its possible dialectic relation with the new information technologies. The goal is to enable and facilitate a greater understanding of the spatial and temporary dimensions of cultural heritage. This article proposes to delineate some reflections from a geo-temporary perspective based on the concepts and technical tools available as a way to identify their potential for application in the field of cultural heritage. The evolution of the concepts of heritage together with the use of new forms of representation and analysis allow us to look at the elements or phenomena hitherto invisible that are influential in the structuring and conformation of the territory. In principle, it revolves around guidelines. We can only construct the appropriate image of the territory if we return to thinking of both space-time and action.
