As energy-saving measures and consumption restrictions continue to increase, efforts are being made to address the energy crisis. One key area for reducing energy consumption is in homes and offices, as 80% of energy is consumed in buildings. This project presents an overview of the possibilities for energy improvement in buildings, providing details on regulatory and financial assistance programs. Next, an action model is proposed and applied to a practical case in which energy demand is reduced by 50% from the initial level. Finally, an economic feasibility study of the various improvement proposals is conducted. To select the most favorable measure for implementation, the initial investment costs are compared to energy consumption savings by calculating the life cycle cost (LCC). After analyzing the results, the characteristics of the optimal combination of improvements are outlined. |
