Evolución histórica de la planimetría en ingeniería durante el siglo XX

Abstract

La elaboración de planos en el ámbito de la ingeniería y arquitectura ha evolucionado sustancialmente a lo largo de los años. Esta evolución ha estado marcada por el progreso que de forma independiente han tenido los distintos parámetros que afectan a la elaboración de la planimetría, es decir, los materiales utilizados, los soportes, los medios de impresión e incluso la propia presentación final. Así a comienzos del siglo XX la confección de planos en el ámbito arquitectura e ingeniería se basaba en un proceso manual de marcado carácter artístico y casi artesano además de su contenido técnico, donde se utilizaban soportes convencionales y los medios de reproducción eran costosos y al alcance de muy pocos. Por otro lado al finalizar el siglo se ha llegado a una auténtica revolución, quizás excesiva porque se ha perdido la personalidad e impronta del autor, y ha quedado relegado casi exclusivamente a procesos y programas informáticos, cada vez más sofisticados, que permiten elaborar todo tipo de vistas, detalles y maquetas virtuales a partir de un dibujo de referencia. Lo mismo cabe decir sobre los medios de impresión y reproducción que han pasado a ser un servicio popular que se presta en cualquier población o ciudad por pequeña y escondida que se encuentre a un coste muy asequible.

The production of planes in the area of the engineering and architecture has evolved substantially throughout the years. This evolution has been marked by the progress that of independent form there have had the different parameters that concern the production of the mapping, that is to say, the used materials, the supports, the means of impression and even the own final presentation. This way at the beginning of the 20th century the confection of planes in scope of architecture and engineering was based on a manual process of marked artistic and character almost craftsman besides his technical content, where his conventional supports were using and the means of reproduction were costly and within reach of very small. On the other hand on having finished the century it has come near to an authentic revolution, probably excessive because there has got lost the personality and stamp of the author, and has remained relegated almost exclusively to processes and IT programs, increasingly sophisticated, that it allow to elaborate all kinds of conference, details and virtual models from a drawing reference. The same thing fits to say on the means of impression and reproduction that they have happened to be a popular service that gives itself in any population or city for small and hidden that is to a very attainable cost.
