Teorías de la conciencia

Abstract

En este escrito se procura investigar algunos temas de la filosofía de la mente, además de recoger las principales problemáticas y teorías que están presentes en esta disciplina, pudiendo servir al lector de modo introductorio ante esta materia. El tema central que es la base sobre la que se edifica este trabajo es “el problema mente-cuerpo”, a partir de aquí vamos a comenzar nuestra investigación de la posibilidad de conciencia en los animales, comprendiendo la conciencia como instancia para la supervivencia. Además, trataremos el problema de las otras mentes con relación a la inteligencia artificial, ¿es verdaderamente la conducta reflejo de la conciencia? ¿cómo podemos abordar el problema? Por otro lado, y en relación con la postura que vamos a defender sobre la conciencia y el funcionamiento del cerebro, aportaremos una pequeña investigación a modo de una prueba más que confirma la estrecha relación cerebro-conciencia. Esta investigación versa sobre la influencia de las drogas en el arte, aproximándonos a entender cómo el fenómeno de la creatividad se ve influenciado por las sustancias químicas. Por último, queremos realizar una defensa de la psicología popular y el lenguaje mentalista para el bienestar del trato humano y el desarrollo interior, sin que esto implique que reaccionemos o nos posicionemos en contra de la neurociencia y la investigación, ya que, de hecho, el proyecto destaca la perspectiva materialista. Por lo que este escrito se convierte en una doble defensa y apoyo al carácter fenomenológico y a la neurociencia, tratando de fomentar todas las ventajas que suscitan cada una de las partes.

The aim of this paper is to investigate some topics of the philosophy of mind, as well as to collect the main problems and theories that are present in this discipline, which may serve the reader as an initiation to this subject. The central topic that is the basis on which this work is built is "the mind-body problem", from here we will begin our investigation on the possibility of consciousness in animals, understanding consciousness as an instance for survival. In addition, we will address the problem of other minds in relation to artificial intelligence, is behaviour really a reflection of consciousness, and how can we tackle the problem? On the other hand, and in relation to the position we are going to defend on consciousness and the functioning of the brain, we will provide a small piece of research as further evidence that confirms the close relationship between brain and consciousness. This research deals with the influence of drugs on art, bringing us closer to understanding how the phenomenon of creativity is influenced by chemical substances. Finally, we want to make a defence of folk psychology and mentalistic language for the wellbeing of the human being and inner development, without implying that we react or position ourselves against neuroscience and research, as in fact the project highlights the materialistic perspective. Therefore, this paper becomes a double defence and support to the phenomenological character and to neuroscience, trying to promote all the advantages that each of the parts arouse.
