Creencias y actitudes lingüísticas de los universitarios malagueños hacia la variedad andaluza

Abstract

Las creencias y actitudes de los hablantes hacia las variedades lingüísticas condicionan los usos lingüísticos de forma muy relevante. Nuestro objetivo es conocer las percepciones de universitarios malagueños sobre la variedad andaluza. Asumimos la metodología del Proyecto PRECAVES XXI, cuyo propósito es conocer las actitudes y creencias hacia las variedades normativas del español. Las tres variedades más reconocidas por nuestros informantes (N=206) fueron la rioplatense, castellana y andaluza. A pesar de estar evaluando la variedad propia, los resultados muestran que el andaluz está fuertemente estigmatizado: es considerada la variedad menos culta, inteligible y educada de todas las mostradas y se relaciona con personas con el peor nivel de estudios de todos los locutores escuchados. Además, el empleo de esta variedad tampoco se asocia con profesionales altamente cualificados. Estos resultados podrían ser relevantes en los ámbitos identitario y educativo, donde se debería seguir fomentando la valoración equitativa de las variedades lingüísticas.

The beliefs and attitudes of the speakers towards the linguistic varieties condition the linguistic uses in a very relevant way. Our objective is to know the perceptions of Malaga university students about the Andalusian variety. We assume the methodology of the PRECAVES XXI Project whose purpose is to know the attitudes and beliefs towards the normative varieties of Spanish. The three varieties most recognized by our informants (N = 206) were River Plate, Castilian and Andalusian varieties. Despite evaluating the own variety, the results show that the Andalusian is strongly stigmatized: it turns out to be the least educated, intelligible and educated variety of all those shown and it is related to people with the worst level of education of all the listeners heard. Furthermore, the use of this variety is also not associated with highly qualified professionals. These results could be relevant in the identity and educational fields, where the equitable valuation of linguistic varieties should continue to be promoted.
