Taketori Monogatari y El cuento de la Princesa Kaguya: de la Literatura al Anime

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se estudiará y analizará del recorrido cultural de la obra Taketori Monogatari desde su aparición y antecedentes, investigando sus representaciones culturales a lo largo del tiempo, con especial detenimiento en el largometraje de animación El Cuento de la Princesa Kaguya (Kaguya-hime no Monogatari, 2013) de Isao Takahata. El objetivo de este estudio es comparar la obra literaria clásica japonesa con sus representaciones posteriores. Para ello, se contextualizará la obra clásica original y sus antecedentes siguiendo el estudio de la autora Kayoko Takagi, entre otros acercamientos académicos. Finalmente, se exponen y comparan las representaciones de la obra con el filme El Cuento de la Princesa Kaguya para llegar a una serie de conclusiones sobre las similitudes y diferencias que se encuentran entre estas adaptaciones e intentando responder a la originalidad y singularidad de la adaptación de Takahata respecto a la estética y los modos de la animación japonesa convencional.

In the present work, a comparative-exhaustive analysis will be carried out on the cultural journey of the Taketori Monogatari work, starting from its beginnings and antecedents, investigating its cultural representations over time, ending with The Tale of the Princess Kaguya by Isao Takahata. The objective of this study is to compare the Japanese classical work with its subsequent representations, subsequently exposing the comparison of the original work and its following figures with the work of Takahata. To do this, the classic work will be contextualized with its background and main plot through the study of the author Kayoko Takagi, among other academic approaches. Finally, the representations of the work with The Tale of the Princess Kaguya are exposed and compared, thus reaching a series of conclusions regarding the differences found between these adaptations and why Takahata's work moves away from the conventional Japanese animation.
