In the present work, a comparative-exhaustive analysis will be carried out on the cultural journey of the Taketori Monogatari work, starting from its beginnings and antecedents, investigating its cultural representations over time, ending with The Tale of the Princess Kaguya by Isao Takahata. The objective of this study is to compare the Japanese classical work with its subsequent representations, subsequently exposing the comparison of the original work and its following figures with the work of Takahata. To do this, the classic work will be contextualized with its background and main plot through the study of the author Kayoko Takagi, among other academic approaches. Finally, the representations of the work with The Tale of the Princess Kaguya are exposed and compared, thus reaching a series of conclusions regarding the differences found between these adaptations and why Takahata's work moves away from the conventional Japanese animation. |
