El paisaje urbano de la Sevilla barroca: decoraciones murales, esgrafiados y cromatismos. Un recorrido por la ciudad barroca a partir del inventariado de los restos conservados

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como fin poner en valor y justificar la importancia que tiene en la definición del paisaje urbano de la ciudad de Sevilla la utilización de determinados recursos para el acabado de las fachadas. Así, tratará el uso de técnicas como los esgrafiados, las pinturas murales, la aplicación de determinados cromatismos o materialidades u otros recursos decorativos. Centrándose en el barroco, por ser la etapa más rica y, a la vez, aquella en la que quedan más testimonios, el trabajo tendrá como una de sus principales aportaciones la realización de un inventario que sirva para reconocer todos los restos conservados. Se trata de hacer un estudio que permita entender la materia a nivel de conjunto de toda la ciudad para comprender su alcance más allá de la presencia de casos individuales. De esta forma, el inventario se entiende como base rigurosa fundamental para la obtención de unas conclusiones y la reflexión sobre la materia. Será importante igualmente la capacidad divulgativa de los resultados para repercutir en la concienciación sobre la materia.

This work aims to value and justify the trascendence for Seville, in terms of the definition of the urban landscape, of some ornamental techniques for the façade cladding. Those are techiques such ass sgrafitto, wall paintings, the application of specific colours or materials, or some other ornamental tehcniques. The work is focused on the baroque period because this is the richest period and the one from which more exponents are preserved. One of the main contributions of this work is the development of an inventory containing every preserved subjects. The intention is to make a work that analyses the issue as a representative set for the city, not just as some individual cases. Therefore, it will be a tool to understand the scope of the matter. The inventory is displayed as a rigorous essential basis to obtain conclusions and be able to reflect on the topic. It will be likewise important the informational ability of results for the sake of awareness about the matter.
